My vision. Come see it with me.

We came, we saw, we awe

Hiking and appreciating the sure greatness of nature is one of my joys in life. And doing it with one or several of your loves, is unlike no other. Took a drive down to Ojai, California and went up it’s mountain to an old stoping ground where my father used to take my sisters and I when we were younger. Rose Valley Falls. Accompanied with my better half Jassica and our young pup Rye (short for Nocerous jk.. I get asked what it’s for and I get more clever on each answer.) We took a short walk through the burnt remains of what used to be a luscious and striving mountain top. Love the beauty and serenity of this area. Something magical and surreal is always here. Although ravaged by the Ventura fires a year or so back, the area where the waterfalls stands seemed to have been spared by some magic and was untouched by the flames. Everything around it though was no so fortunate.

The Rose Valley Falls hike is a fairly easy one. It’s literally a walk to a pretty even path with very subtle elevation on the soil. In recent times though, with some landslides and what not, there’s some slippery spots to watch out for but nothing intense or anything scary. It’s still a breeze to go through. A little less than a mile from the beginning of the trail to the end, which is the waterfall itself. It’s also not a huge waterfall either. Pretty small really, and water depends on when you go. With all the rains in recently, there’s plenty of water raining down on you. Pretty refreshing, pretty in general.

Here lies a problem. WIth all this talk of the Rose Valley falls, I didn’t take one shot of the whole waterfall. Oops… I do have older photos of it that I might have posted on social media. I’ve always have been fascinated in freezing the movement of water anyways. Seeing them up close. The details of the bubbles and the flowing water really fascinates me. The texture of the water is surreal, and gross looking at the same time. They look like eggs…

Nature is such a mystery. Incomparable to anything else. The Earth is amazing. It’s the only one we have. For now at least and we all have to help it strive to how it once was.
